Terminal cleaning

In an effort to protect our customers and employees the Cherry Capital Airport has implemented an enhanced cleaning and disinfecting program
Our Focus: Frequency and Communication to ensure the Safety and Security of our Patrons

Frequency

Regular daily cleaning.

In addition to regular daily cleaning, the Cherry Capital Airport has doubled its cleaning and disinfecting efforts. 

Disinfecting will continue around the clock to ensure quality and to reduce any risk.

The primary focus is disinfecting lobbies, public areas, restrooms, concession areas, and gate areas.

Lobbies: Door handles, counter tops, kiosks, trash bins, seating, tables, wheelchairs, baggage carts, key pads, phones, and hand sanitizer stands.

Public areas: Door handles, handrails, counter tops, trash bins, seating, tables, hand sanitizer stands, elevator buttons, children’s area, phones, and wheelchairs.

Restrooms: Doors and latches, mirrors, fixtures, flush valve handles, and countertops.

Concession areas: Tables, chairs, and trash bins.

Gate areas: Seats, armrests, counter tops, tables, phones, and trash bins.

Disinfecting products are EPA registered.

Janitorial staff and Airport Maintenance staff are readily visible and trained on our efforts.

Communication

The Cherry Capital Airport uses social media to notify the public with up to date information regarding our efforts. Download the TVC app today.

The Cherry Capital Airport holds and/or attends regular meetings with the Grand Traverse Health Department, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, and Local First Responders.

The Cherry Capital Airport holds scheduled and unscheduled meetings with tenants and staff.

The Cherry Capital Airport utilizes static signage throughout the terminal building with regards to our efforts.

The Cherry Capital Airport holds special training classes for tenants and staff.

Additional Information

In an effort to protect the Cherry Capital Airport’s customers and employees. Staff is encouraged to disinfect their own areas as well as participate in acceptable personal hygiene practices. This includes cleanliness of personal effects, vehicles, and residencies.

The Cherry Capital Airport will ensure that restrooms are well stocked and all fixtures are in good working order.

The Cherry Capital Airport will offer hand sanitizing stations at various locations as well as appropriate signage throughout the facility.

The Cherry Capital Airport promotes and encourages these measures to our travelers, tenants, and staff. Wash your hands often. If soap and water is not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Stay at home when you are sick. Cover your mouth and nose with a bent elbow or use a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Dispose of your tissue immediately and wash your hands. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Consult your health professional if you have any questions about your travel.
